BeerFest Days across Edmonton
Breweries, taprooms, eligible liquor stores, licensed restaurants and bars, hotels, venues, artists and community organizations are invited to create their own experience during BeerFest Days—then connect it to the wider festival through registration, shared standards and accurate promotion.
A BeerFest experience can be large or small. The strongest ideas suit the host, serve a clear audience, add something distinctive to BeerFest Days and contribute meaningfully to Edmonton.
A special release, brewer appearance, guided flight or neighbourhood brewery experience.
A ticketed or reservation-based beer dinner, tasting menu or local-food collaboration.
An educational class, demonstration, industry conversation or guided tasting.
A performance, exhibition, fashion presentation or cultural program connected to hospitality.
An all-ages activity, fundraiser, neighbourhood event or charity collaboration.
A buyer meeting, distributor showcase, product launch, networking session or hospitality activation.
An eligible liquor store may propose an approved educational, promotional or tasting experience where its licence, premises and all required authorizations permit it.
Your venue must fit the proposed audience and program and must be capable of meeting every licensing, insurance, occupancy, safety, accessibility and BeerFest participation requirement.
Tell BeerFest Days what you are planning and the capacity, location and atmosphere you need. A suitable participating venue may be identified, subject to availability, approval and a separate agreement with its operator.
Bars and restaurants may propose a BeerFest experience inside their existing licensed premises. Breweries, taprooms and eligible liquor stores may also propose their own premises where their licence and all required approvals permit the planned activity.
Registration starts the conversation. Final participation depends on complete information, required approvals and written confirmation.
Choose the responsible host, schedule, audience, products, programming and Edmonton benefit. Select a suitable venue or propose your existing licensed premises.
Submit your organization, contacts, venue, dates and complete concept through the participant-registration process.
Obtain the required licences, permits, venue approvals and certifications. Provide proof of the required commercial general liability insurance, including additional-insured status for the applicable BeerFest legal entity when specified in your written agreement.
Provide final operating, safety, service and marketing information and address any required changes.
Follow BeerFest advertising standards, use approved assets and accurately identify the organizer, venue, schedule, admission terms and relationship to BeerFest Days.
Follow all standards, report incidents promptly and provide requested attendance, local-impact and industry results.
BeerFest Days welcomes local, provincial, national and international participation. Hosts should strengthen the city by working with Edmonton breweries, hospitality businesses, artists, entertainers, workers, suppliers, charities and community organizations wherever practical.
Advertising should invite responsible participation, represent Edmonton accurately and create measurable local benefit. BeerFest may require changes to—or removal of—creative, offers or claims that conflict with approved brand, community, economic-development or industry standards.
Out-of-area participants are expected to contribute to, rather than extract from or displace, Edmonton's established industry and cultural communities.
The current written agreement, confirmation package and government requirements always control where they are more specific.
Breweries, taprooms, eligible liquor stores, licensed restaurants and bars, hotels, hospitality businesses, venues, artists, cultural organizations, charities and community groups may propose an experience. Acceptance depends on suitability, capacity, licensing, compliance and complete registration.
Yes. You may request help identifying a suitable participating venue, subject to availability and approval, or propose your own existing licensed bar, restaurant, brewery, taproom or eligible liquor-store premises. The venue and the specific planned activity must both satisfy all applicable approvals and BeerFest standards.
No. Registration does not provide or extend a liquor licence. Each host must confirm whether its activity is covered by its existing licence, requires an extension or special-event approval, or may be included in a specifically approved BeerFest licensed operation.
The host must maintain the commercial general liability coverage and limits stated in its participation agreement and provide a valid certificate of insurance. When required, the certificate must name the exact applicable BeerFest legal entity supplied in writing as an additional insured. Your broker or insurer should prepare the certificate; the BeerFest name or logo alone is not sufficient.
Promotions must use approved assets and accurate claims, clearly identify the independent organizer and event terms, support responsible consumption and respect Edmonton's community, local economy and established beer and hospitality industry. BeerFest may require non-compliant advertising to be corrected or removed.
Only approved participants may use authorized assets, wording and affiliation descriptions. Registration alone does not authorize use of BeerFest trademarks, logos or “official” status.
Yes, where the venue, licence, programming and operating plan permit minors. Age controls must be clear, and liquor service must remain restricted and responsibly managed.
Yes. International brands should register early and work through the appropriate Alberta agency, importer, distributor, licensing and product-ordering processes. Participation should also create meaningful connections and benefits in Edmonton.
Approved experiences may be considered for collective schedules, guides, website listings and shared promotion. Inclusion, placement and timing depend on complete approved information and available promotional capacity.
Start with your idea. Register the responsible host and complete plan. BeerFest Days will then determine the appropriate participation, standards and promotional pathway.
